Body Based Regulation Strategies for Burnout and Workplace Stress for Employees & Administration.

Workplace stress and burnout are increasingly common, impacting focus, productivity, and overall well-being.

  

Body Based Regulation Strategies for Stress & Burn out equips employees with practical, neuroscience-based tools to understand their stress responses, regulate their nervous system, and build resilience throughout the workday. This interactive workshop blends the latest insights from neuroscience and somatic psychology with actionable strategies that include the brain and body to help participants stay grounded, recover quickly, and contribute to a healthier, more connected workplace culture.


Participants will learn to: 

  • Understand the Neuroscience of Stress: Recognize how the brain and nervous system respond to work-related stress and how it impacts focus, decision-making, and emotional regulation.


  • Identify Signs of Burnout: Detect physical, emotional, and behavioural indicators of burnout in themselves and colleagues. Understand the cycle of burnout, the contributors and how to combat it before it begins. 


  • Befriending the nervous system: Understand autonomic nervous system states (ventral, sympathetic, dorsal) and use practical regulation techniques to maintain a grounded, productive state.


  • Build Micro-Resilience Practices: Implement brief, evidence-based strategies to reduce stress, recover energy, and enhance personal and team resilience.


  • Promote a Healthier Workplace Culture: Learn how individual regulation and recovery practices can ripple out to foster safety, connection, and well-being across the team.


  • Create a Personal Action Plan: Commit to specific, actionable strategies to manage stress and prevent burnout in daily work life.

Trauma Informed Care for Front-line Workers

Nurses, Social Workers and Front facing professionals work in fast-paced, high-stress environments where trauma exposure is frequent, both among patients and staff. 


Trauma-Informed Care for Front Line Settings provides practical, evidence-based strategies to recognize the impact of trauma, tools to implement the domains of trauma informed care and the knowledge and capacity to respond with empathy and safety leading to a healthier work environment for all. 


Combining insights from neuroscience, somatic psychology and trauma-informed front line practices, this workshop helps allied health professionals  maintain resilience, improve patient/client interactions, and foster a supportive, collaborative environment.


By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:


  • Understand Trauma in Patient/Client Care: Recognize how patient/clients’ past and ongoing trauma can affect their behaviours, compliance, and interactions in a clinical, hospital and inpatient/out patient setting.


  • Identify Stress and Dysregulation in Self and Others: Spot signs of emotional, physical, or behavioural stress in themselves, colleagues, and patients/clients.


  • Apply somatic psychology and Neuroscience Principles: Use nervous system awareness to remain regulated and respond calmly, even in high-pressure clinical situations.


  • Implement Trauma-Informed Practices: Utilize communication strategies, bedside approaches, and micro-practices that support patient/client safety, trust, and comfort.


  • Promote Resilience Among Teams: Create a supportive work environment that reduces burnout, fosters collaboration, and strengthens patient/client care outcomes.


  • Develop a Personal and Team Action Plan: Commit to practical steps that integrate trauma-informed principles into daily routines and team workflows.
